A tool of the Absence Management System is the SubFinder. The SubFinder is an automated absence reporting and calling system.
Employees
can enter an absence, cancel an absence, review an absence, review who
the substitute will be, and review personal information (address, phone
number, etc.)
Substitutes can access SubFinder to review
current assignments, review available assignments, cancel jobs, and
review personal information. Substitutes can be proactive and search
for jobs by using the review available jobs option. You can call or log
in to the SubFinder any time and check for jobs.
The SubFinder is available 24 hours a day.
The daily call out time is 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for jobs for that day only.
The evening call out period is 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for future jobs.
Your PIN # is your Employee number.
If a teacher is requesting a
specific substitute the SubFinder will call the requested substitute
only, until 12 hours before the start time of the job. If the
substitute has not accepted the job 12 hours before the start time,
then the SubFinder will go to the skills list to fill the job. When reporting an absence or
accepting a job, the SubFinder will give you a job number. It is
important to remember your job number. The job number is your
confirmation number. You will need this number if you need to cancel
the job. You will not have the same job number for all your jobs, as
jobs are entered into the system they are assigned a job number. If you need to cancel a job, please cancel a minimum of 1 HOUR before the start of the job. For Substitutes, if it is less
than an hour before the job you will be instructed to call the Human
Resource Office at 308-698-8013. The phone system and the
computer/internet system work in conjunction with each other. If a
teacher enters an absence via the web the substitute can pick it up
either on the web or through the phone system and the same is true if
the teacher enters the absence via the phone.
